Before children did you paint? Attend a photography class? Dance? Or how about just read a book before bed? So many things we used to do before children and now the true you seems to be a little lost. Well, this week we bring back Jocelyn Brock who you may remember was on our show two years ago talking about Qigong and the Qi Revolution here in Orlando. On our show, she talks about her own personal journey on how she rediscovered who she was by doing what she loved.
Our conversation was very interesting because we discussed how easily it is for us to go with the normal flow of the day doing errands, taking care of our children, family, homes, and juggle a career. But, HOW do you find the “WAHHH!” in your life. (You can substitute AHA moment or whatever you need to verbalize the moment you have found YOU again.)
Her journey started with participating in yoga and Qigong classes. Both enabled her to relax and quiet her mind to find her inner self. She loved doing both so much that she became a teacher in both practices. So, she encourages you to take small baby steps to do what you love and then you will find peace and joy in your life!
If you want to find out more about the Qi Revolution, log online to our website www.parentseverywhere.com and click on the question, “Does Qigong Really improve health?” It’s four amazing days of learning qigong and only for $99! Bring a friend and feel the qi- energy!
Also, Michelle mentioned in the beginning of the show the Sex in the City Movie premier at the Oveido Regal Cinemas starting at 6:30 pm. Great girly time and just time for you!!! Go check out Tracy Squadrito with the Oveido Chicks for more information.
And, stay tuned to find out how the children are doing on their 60-day responsibility chart towards adopting a wonderful greyhound from a local greyhound shelter/organization here in Orlando. Listen to what they did and HOW Daddy could not say ,” NO.” to their well thought out proposal….

What do you get when you have nutrition + fun characters + creativity?!?! An incredible way to teach your children about how to be healthy!!! We have local mompreneur, Danielle Wallace who is just in our backyard in Lake Nona with a fun way to teach your children how to choose the right foods to nourish their bodies!
Danielle is mom of two beautiful children, homeschools her children AND is author of The Health Squad Saves the Day. She struggled with the gradual progression of how children start off with whole grains, fruits and veggies then somehow ended with processed chicken nuggets and fries! So… she started thinking and the book/company came to be. Thus, www.healthsquad.net was born!
We have Broccolo- yummy green broccoli with an Italian flair (Danielle says that he is a little like “Rocky”); Gracie the Grape, good for your heart and has impeccable manners, and the list goes on! I was impressed how each “food” character had character traits that we as parents would love to teach our children. A couple of the characters were named/modeled after her own children! How fun!
Danielle says that she is currently working on the next book in the series and will hopefully, debut it soon! She hopes to have at least three more books in the series… all discussing various ways to be healthy. Thus, the name Health Squad. What’s even better is the affordable price of only$6.95 / book. This would be a great gift for the many children in your family.
Also, Danielle shares with us how she started. So, any moms out there who is wondering how to start that children’s book and you have an author waiting to come out… listen to Danielle’s tips. It worked for her!
Thank you so much, Danielle for a wonderful way to teach our children how to make healthy choices! You rock!!!

Why are prenatal vitamins SOOO BIG? WHY must they be a challenge for some of us to swallow?! Well, this week we have another alternative solution for you!!! A prenatal vitamin called S7 Prenatal Drink Mix made by MOMS!!! Michelle Dudash, Natalie Hill, and Ilene Hill all started “Impact Nutritionals because they wanted to start a health minded company with solution providing products.”
For our episode this week, we have both Michelle and Natalie from Phoenix, Arizona sharing with us this fantastic solution for Moms and Mom-to-be… The really cool thing about S7 is that it’s a DRINK MIX!!! No more swallowing big pills (36% of moms have this challenge) , if you don’t want to! S7 has super seven pregnancy nutrients: Folic Acid, Iron, DHA, Calcium, Choline, Electrolytes, and Ginger. I wonder which other prenatals have ginger IN IT to help you combat the nausea you may feel during pregnancy… hmmmm…. Michelle was telling us that studies show that you have to take 250 mg of Ginger three times/day for the ginger to be effective? It helps that Michelle is a certified registered dietician, too!
Of course, the best way for anyone to obtain the best nutrition is to eat a variety of foods that are rich in vitamins and nutrients. Prenatal vitamins are meant to be supplemental to a nutritious diet. There is also a wonderful promotion for our listeners until the end of February…
Go to www.drinks7.com and sign up for a free Prenatal Nutrition Kit that includes:
- A sample of the S7 Prenatal Mix
- A downloadable Prenatal Nutrition Guide with information about eating right before, during, and after pregnancy
- 15% off your first order of S7 Prenatal
- 1 in 10 chance to win a very cute T-shirt, Hot Moms Drink S7 Prenatal
So, thank you so much to Michelle and Natalie for a wonderful talk this week! We are looking forward to their next product that “boosts metabolism”… don’t we all need that?!
Happy Listening!
It took the girls about one year from idea to actual product! Wow! What an inspiration to other entrepreneurs to be out there!

Happy 2010!!! Michelle and I are back for 2010!!! As you may have noticed, it’s been “a while” since our last show due to life in general… home, work, children, the reality of the Madness of Motherhood!!! LOL
So, after much organizational planning, Michelle and I have returned with phenomenal enthusiasm for this year! This first 2010 episode is our conversation about re-organizing and what we have planned for you for upcoming episodes.
One of the issues we discussed was how we could give our children a sense of “giving back” or generosity through volunteerism. But, HOW? A suggestion was during bedtime by saying prayers of thanks and/or sharing what you are thankful for. For example, “I am thankful for being kind to Timmy at the playground today,” or ” I am thankful for the yummy sandwich Daddy packed us for lunch today.” By starting to recognize small acts of kindness and saying thanks, children become AWARE. Awareness is the key…
Here are a few other ways:
- Ronald McDonald House – Bake an extra dozen cookies or another loaf of banana bread. OR bring in some extra laundry detergent, soap, paper towels.
- Pet Smart- Every Saturday at some store locations they have animal organizations that need additional supplies such as blankets, food, toys. Pets are available for adoption.
- Local homeless shelters are always looking for clothing and food donations.
- How about your church? They always have something going on that you may be interested in helping out. It may be something as simple as a church fair or watching younger children during service.
- Be a good neighbor. Pick up the paper early in the morning and bring it to their door step. Bake something yummy and share. OR simply share your time and go visit.
All great ways to begin 2010 with an open heart and learn how to SHARE your time- the best gift you can give.
We talk about other things, of course, but most of all we are SO EXCITED to share wonderful new things for this year! We have incredible guests lined up who have found a way to help make our lives as Moms easier and more efficient. They are fun, interesting, and just like you and me!!!
Happy Listening and Happy February!

How safe is the environment in your home? How’s the air quality? If you have new carpet, are there chemicals in the carpet that are safe for your baby to crawl on? If you’ve never started to think about things like this, we have Diana Schultz, a bau-biologist who is sharing some valuable information for you and your family’s health.
Baubiologie is the study and practice of healthy buildings. Basically, anything we surround ourselves with in relation with our bodies, Diana studies and shares it with us. Our health is dependent on how aware we are in creating a more healthy environment. So many times we have unnatural materials in our homes such as something as simple as carpet, right? How many of us know of someone who has removed all the carpet from their homes due to allergies? Hmmmm….
Did you know that new carpet has volatile organic compounds that may be harmful to our babies and young children? Also, are you aware of the various sources of electromagnetism in your bedrooms? Diana has special equipment to help measure the various levels of safety for our homes.
Another topic she shares with us this interview is the safety of our light bulbs. Again, something I was not aware of, but is very important for you to listen in order to prevent any harm from poisonous gases that may be emitted from a broken light bulb…
Diana has wonderful workshops at the Florida Holistic School of Living here in Orlando and a very informative website for further information.
Thank you so much Diana for giving us some insight on how to make our homes with safer environments for the health of our families.
Thanks for listening!
